HOPE FOR US & OUR CHILDREN

In this article, I share the hard truth that I've learned about toxicants, chronic health issues, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and other neurological issues; and let you know where you can find help and hope. This is by far, one of the most difficult articles that I have written. But I think it is also perhaps one of the most important ones I've written. I hope you take a moment to read it to the happy ending and start to have conversations with those you love.

As I write this, I am filled with grandma-joy. I have been blessed to hold our first grandbaby in my arms just a few weeks ago. The gift of life is so precious, and it’s an absolute miracle how two cells can come together to create the magnificent little humans that will become the next generation.

All praise and thanks to God. This article is dedicated to Him. The Creator of all good things and of mankind. And to the children that He has entrusted us with.

I am also filled with gratitude for a nonprofit organization called Documenting Hope. Documenting Hope provides root cause healing solutions for children’s chronic health and developmental conditions.” I am honored to be one of Documenting Hope’s vetted practitioners that are equipped to help parents of children that struggle with a variety of health issues, including autism spectrum disorders (ASD), by providing them with natural solutions to assist their child in his/her healing journey.

Mixed in with this joy and gratitude, I have a heaviness in my heart because these precious little ones rely on grown-ups to protect them from harm. We are all doing our best given the information that we take in. Yet what if the things that we (the grown-ups) are being told are safe and necessary to protect us and our precious little ones can actually do more harm than good? What if we unintentionally played a role in causing health problems that our children are saddled with?  I think we can all feel the weight of this.

As a new parent, I made the mistake of relying on what I was told by the people I trusted in the health profession. I didn't question anything. But years later, I realized that health professionals are kind, caring people who do a wonderful job doing what they have been taught.  But there is imporant information that they haven’t been taught. They haven’t been taught about the impact of toxic substances in our environment and in injections given to our babies and children that could be linked to a plethora of chronic health issues. Nor are they taught how to address the underlying reasons or causes of chronic health problems.

As most of you know, autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are developmental disorders that impact a person’s ability to readily engage in social communication and interactions. Back in the 1970s, the prevalence of ASD was about 1 in 10,000 children. Now it is approximately 1 in 31. This is nearly a 400% increase since 2000. (Source) Around 25% of children diagnosed with ASD are school-age children that are unable to be toilet trained. Imagine the impact that will have on their lives.

Many individuals with ASD often are unable to maintain eye contact, unable to interact in imaginative play, and unable to maintain friendships. They may engage in repetitive behaviors, such as hand flapping, spinning, head banging, or slapping. They may have emotional outbursts or engage in aggressive or self-injurious behaviors. Interestingly, most children diagnosed with ASD were healthy at birth, but something happened that affected their development.

Did you know that in addition to the behavioral issues that children with ASD are challenged with, there are also many physical comorbidities or chronic health issues? Around 80% of children diagnosed with ASD have also been diagnosed with digestive issues, such as, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), colitis, food intolerances, or irritable bowel syndrome. (SourceNearly 40% of children diagnosed with ASD are plagued with reoccurring seizures or epilepsy. It’s estimated that about 80% of children with autism spectrum disorders experience sleep issues, such as trouble falling asleep, frequent nighttime waking episodes, and early morning awakenings. (Source) In addition, a high percentage of children diagnosed with ASD also suffer from mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.

If you think about walking a day in the shoes of a child that is dealing with any of these issues, you can see how hard it must be for them and for those who provide care for them. To me, I see these children crying out for help. There is a reason, or many reasons why their bodies are struggling so much. We owe it to the children of the future generations to take steps to discover the root causes that are hindering their systems and making life so much harder for them. We owe it to them to implement safe and natural solutions that can help address these debilitating issues. And we need to make changes to protect the lives of future generations.

God created our bodies to heal themselves. What if we provide these children with key nutrients that will help their bodies remove some of the toxicants that are likely affecting them? Might that help their bodies to function better and begin to heal? Might they begin to feel better and more readily engage in life? Might they find greater joy in life and in relationships with their family and friends?

Isn’t it time that we, the people who are parents and grandparents in this generation, stop what we are doing and ask, "Why is this epidemic happening? What are the potential causes of these serious health issues and the challenges that many children face?" We cannot accept the answer, "no known cause."

Wouldn't it be wise to support wellness approaches that acknowledge root causes  and that assist in restoring the quality of life for the children struggling with neurological issues? These children need help to reclaim their health. With God all things are possible. There is hope. A diagnosis does not have to be a life sentence. See many success stories here

What are some of the potential underlying root causes?

We need to consider neurotoxins that are in food additives, flavorings, and colorants that are in nearly all processed foods. (Neurotoxins are substances that can damage or destroy brain cells.) We need to consider the harmful chemicals, like pesticides and herbicides, that make their way to our table and into our digestive systems.. Radioactive elements, like radium and uranium, that make their way into our water supply need to be taken into consideration. We need to consdier toxic metals like mercury and aluminum. There are many more potential underlying causes, but these toxicants are a good place to start.

Key Info about Toxicants, Comorbidities and Chronic Health Issues

Seizure disorders or epilepsy.Methylmercury (MeHg) is a prominent environmental neurotoxicant, which targets primarily the central nervous system (CNS). Methylmercury is commonly found in our lakes, rivers, oceans. If it is there, we know that it can get into our water supply. Patients or animals with acute or chronic MeHg poisoning often display epileptic seizures or show increased susceptibility to seizures, suggesting that MeHg exposure may be associated with epileptogenesis.” (Source)

Thimerosal is a common ingredient in many injections given to “immunize” infants, children, and adults. Thimerosal contains ethylmercury; like methylmercury, it can cross the blood-brain barrier. In 2025, researchers published a study that evalutated the harmful effects of low-dose ethylmercury (EtHg). Their study “revealed that EtHg exposure led to significant alterations in brain development, including increased brain size and cortical thickness. These structural changes were accompanied by notable impairments in social interactions and behavioral patterns.” One of the study’s conclusions was this:These findings highlight the need for further research on EtHg neurotoxicity and its implications for vulnerable populations, particularly infants and young children.” (Source)

Aluminum adjuvants or aluminum compounds are commonly used in vaccines. Aluminum hydroxide or other aluminum compounds are typically found in Tdap, Hib, Meningococcal B, DTaP, Influenza, HPV, HepB and other injections. (Source)

Aluminum hydroxide has been linked to “motor deficits and motor neuron degeneration.” (Source)

Aluminum sulfate, a vaccine adjuvant, is known to cross the blood-brain barrier, and it can negatively impact areas such as the hippocampus, temporal lobe, and occipital lobe. These areas are involved in memory formation, cognitive function, and vision. Studies have found higher levels of aluminum in the brains of children with autism and in individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.

Something to consider: A group of lawyers submitted a Freedom of Information Act request asking the CDC, FDA, and NIH “for ‘copies of any human or animal studies involving the subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of aluminum adjuvants relied upon by the CDC to establish the safety of injecting infants and children with aluminum hydroxide, aluminum phosphate or amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate.’” All three agencies said, “We could find no records responsive to your request.” (You may want to read this again.) None of the organiztions seen as authorities had any records of studies to provide. Given this information, how can they possibly declare any injections safe? Source: Neurological and Chronic Disease: The Aluminum Connection. Christopher Shaw, PhD. Wise Traditions Vol. 26 No. 3. (Fall, 2025)

A team of French scientists have shown that aluminum used in adjuvants can “slowly accumulate in the brain.” They found that “long-term adjuvant biopersistence” can set the stage for “delayed neurotoxicity.” Source: Gheradi RK, Eidi H, Crepeaux G, et al. Biopersistence and brain translocation of aluminum adjuvants of vaccines. Front Neurol. 2015 Feb 5;6:4

To learn about other potentially harmful adjuvants and excipients in vaccines, see the John Hopkins list here.

Before I go any further, it’s important for you to know that I am not saying that vaccines cause ASD, chronic health issues, or the comorbidities associated with the diagnosis of ASD. But there is compelling evidence that some of the ingredients in them play a role in health issues such as these. We can’t negate the involvement of other toxic substances in our food, water, and air which also play a role in these issues.

Something else to consider: Most parents read labels on containers of baby formulas to select the best and safest one for their babies. Why not ask the nurse or pediatrician to give you the actual package inserts and labels for the injections/vaccines that they advise you to give your child, so that you know what could be going directly into the bloodstream of your little one? This will also help you find out about the potential side effects and potential risks of each injection.

Remember, your child is depending fully on you to do what is best for them. Be willing to question the status quo, seek more information, and to ask your school nurse or day care provider about the document(s) that can be signed to exempt your child from getting the injections until you have all the information you need to be completely at peace with giving your child any of the recommended injections. If you are not 100% sure what to do, why not wait until you are 100% certain and comfortable with the risks?

Even though some of this information is hard to digest, we can all be grateful that we now have a greater awareness of the potential problems that harmful toxicants can pose, and we can be thankful that God has provided us with awesome natural solutions. This information shouldn't create controversy; it should create conversation. If it upsets you, then dig deeper to find more reliable information. Prayerfully, seek God's wisdom and guidance.

There are many practitioners across the country and around the world who have the training and a heart to help. We can pray for discernment to make the best decisions possible, and for forgiveness when we mess up. We can make a difference by helping spread the word that there is HOPE. Tell people about Documenting Hope, and about practitioners that can help address the underlying root causes of chronic health issues.

Sending an extra dose of love to all parents and grandparents,

-Anita
